Stag Party in France
In France a Stag party is…
In France, the bachelor party is referred to as “enterrement de vie de garçon” (for the groom-to-be).
The literal translation for this is “(the) burial of the life as a boy” or “burial/funeral of the life as a bachelor.”
For the bride-to-be, the party is referred to as “enterrement de vie de jeune fille,” which means “burial/funeral of the life as a young girl.”
As is the case in English-speaking countries, parties such as these frequently include the intake of copious amounts of liquor as well as a number of gentle humiliations. Sometimes a stripper is also involved.
